Have you done our overlocker class this is a great follow up to build on the skills you have mastered. Learning lots of new techniques. The Terra Tunic is a neat fitting top, not too fitted and not too oversized, great for the confident beginner. Using knit fabric you can create this partially on the overlocker and learn how to sew welt pockets, twin needling for your hems and mitred corners. You can even include optional elbow patches! The chunky hem features side vents with the back hem slightly longer than the front to give you plenty of coverage. There are six neckline options: scoop, v-neck, funnel, asymmetrical, boat neck and v-neck hood, and also included are four sleeve lengths: short, elbow, 3/4 & long,make it as a dress its not difficult to do meaning you can customise this to your preference. A great winter staple You can make this tunic several times and still have some diversity in your wardrobe. Optional elbow patches and welt pockets give you even more versatility. As with all our classes the cost includes the cost of studio facilities, tuition, and pattern. It does not include the cost of fabric, interfacing, thread or buttons. We provide tea and coffee all day but not lunch, however there are plenty of cafes in New Mills should you wish to go out. There is parking available nearby in the town hall pay and display car park.
